Survey sites have become one of the most popular ways for people to make money in the comfort of their own homes. The idea behind these survey programs is simple.
Thousands of companies are looking to get opinions from their customers and target audiences, and the best way to do that is the Internet.
To bridge the gap between companies and consumers, there have been dozens, and dozens of websites created as survey panels, and these sites help connect consumers to surveys.

Best Survey Sites
Each survey site is different, and all of them are going to have different pros and cons. Some programs are going to give you points for every survey that you complete, and then you can redeem those points for prizes or gift cards, while other survey sites are going to give you direct cash.
Similarly, some programs are going to offer higher rewards per survey than other companies.
If you’re looking to make some extra spending money in your free time, survey sites are an excellent way to do that. You can complete surveys in your own time, whenever works for you.
Because there are hundreds of different programs on the Internet, it can be difficult to find the one that is going to give you the best cash for your time.
Don’t worry, I’ve done all of the dirty work for you. I’ve reviewed some of the most popular (and some of the not-so-popular) survey sites. Check out my best survey sites page, and you can see a detailed review of those sites.
In this post, I’m going to look at Opinion Bureau, which you may not have heard of before. There are a few unique advantages to Opinion Bureau that set it apart.
What Is the Opinion Bureau?
Before we start looking at the pros and cons of Opinion Bureau, let’s take a broad look at what the company is and a little background information about it.
It’s important that you do some research before you join any survey program. There are hundreds of legit survey sites out there, but there are also a lot of scams out there.
Important:
Opinion Bureau was created by Internet Research Bureau Pvt. Ltd., which might sound like a mouthful, but they are a legit company.
If you head over to their “about us” page, you will see that they have a section for their commitments to their customers. Just based on their website, it seems that they are dedicated to giving their customers the best support possible.
They have a 24/7 HelpDesk Support system that you can take advantage if you have any problems with your account. Additionally, they promise that your personal information will never be sold and they are giving your security the attention that it needs.
With most survey programs, you won’t see a page with their customer promises, and I can’t say if they follow through on these promises, but it’s refreshing to see.
Getting Started With Opinion Bureau
If you want to give Opinion Bureau a shot, it’s very easy to do. All that you have to do is head over to their website (www.opinionbureau.com), and fill out their basic application which only requires your name, age, gender, and address.
After that, you will need to confirm your account through an email, and then you’re ready to start completing surveys.
After you join the program, you will be rewarded with a $5 bonus, just for creating an account. This is a great benefit, just for taking a few minutes of your time.
One of the biggest advantages of Opinion Bureau is that you don’t have to live in the United States to sign up.
Most companies only allow U.S. residents to join their programs, but Opinion Bureau allows just about any person around the world to join their program.
Important:
Getting Paid With Opinion Bureau
As soon as you’ve finished signing up for the program, you will start receiving emails with invitations for any available surveys. You can also log onto your account and see any available surveys that they have to offer.
Every survey site has a different focus on the industries that they work with. Opinion Bureau tends to provide a lot of surveys revolving around business, IT, and education.
With Opinion Bureau, the size of the reward is going to depend on the length of the survey. They range in payouts, anywhere from $2 to $10. The longer the survey, the more that you’re going to get paid. Compared to other programs, they have a decent payout size.
Another way that you can earn money is to take advantage of their referral program. For every friend that you get to join, you will get paid $2 every time that they create a verified account. The referral program is an excellent way to boost your profit from Opinion Bureau.
After you’ve earned at least $10 (which is the minimal threshold for requesting cash out), there are several ways that you can get your cash. You can transfer your cash to a PayPal account, an Amazon gift card, or several other options.
Some companies will allow you to have a check mailed to you, but with Opinion Bureau, you’re going to be limited to only a few choices.
Disadvantages/Complaints of Opinion Bureau
There are several drawbacks to Opinion Bureau that you should be aware of if you’re considering joining up. One of the most common complaints that I saw was in regard to the payout process.
Several members complained that they had not received the payment that they requested. Some consumers say that they have been waiting four months to get their money. They didn’t say if they had contacted customer service or if there was any resolution to the problem.
Another complaint that popped up once or twice was in regards to logging into their account. A few members say that they had problems when they tried to sign into their profile. The complaints say that there are days when they can’t get into their account.
Some of the users contacted their customer service help desk, and the problem was resolved. Other users say that they just waited a day and then the problem solved itself. It’s not a huge pitfall, but it can be a minor inconvenience.
Opinion Bureau – The Verdict
As I mentioned, there are dozens and dozens of excellent survey sites that you can choose from. All of them are going to have different benefits that you should compare when you’re looking to join a program.
If you’re considering joining Opinion Bureau, I would suggest that you look elsewhere.
While they are not the worst option on the market, they also are not the best either. Their payouts tend to be slightly higher than other companies, but if you live in the United States, you probably won’t get a lot of surveys.
One of the most common complaints against the Opinion Bureau is the number of survey invitations that members receive.
Every program is going to have similar complaints, but with Opinion Bureau, these complaints seem to have some merit. There are several reports of members only receiving one invite every two months, which is drastically less than you will get with other programs.
The company is based in New Delhi, and they work with companies across the globe, which means that they are not focused on one particular company.
Companies in other countries are not going to be concerned with opinions from members in the United States. There are plenty of other survey sites that you can choose from that will give you more opportunities to complete surveys.
These survey sites are an excellent way to earn some extra spending money in your spare time. None of the programs are going to earn you a second income, but they are a simple way for you to pad your wallet, just by clicking your mouse.
